Sowers Multipurpose Cooperative Society was born out of a deep desire to empower our members to achieve their financial dreams and unlock their full potential. Through our cooperative platform, we inspire members to rise above limitations, embrace financial independence, and live a life of abundance and purpose.

Since our inauguration on March 30th, 2016, we have steadily grown into a dynamic and thriving institution with footprints in diverse, profitable investments and businesses. Our unwavering commitment to growth and excellence continues to elevate the standard of living of our members—transforming aspirations into achievements and communities into success stories. Helping members achieve their goals and live abundantly through Sowers.

Our Objectives

The primary objective of the Society is to promote and advance the economic interests and general welfare of its members in accordance with cooperative principles. Other key objectives include (but are not limited to):

  • To encourage a regular savings culture among members in order to promote financial discipline and self-reliance.
  • To provide credit facilities to members at fair and reasonable rates of interest for provident and productive purposes.
  • To undertake and invest in real estate and housing development projects for the benefit and empowerment of members.
  • To establish, operate, and manage service-oriented and commercial ventures designed to meet the needs of members and enhance the Society's financial capacity.
  • To engage in other lawful economic or social activities that may contribute to the growth, stability, and sustainability of the Society and the well-being of its members.

Our Goal

The Society aims to evolve into a large and sustainable institution with strategic investments across various lucrative sectors, thereby enhancing the standard of living of its members.

The Society is managed by a team of capable and dedicated individuals — ladies and gentlemen who are well-versed in various professional disciplines and have distinguished themselves in the corporate world. They bring a wealth of knowledge and experience from their respective fields to ensure that the Cooperative Society is efficiently managed for the benefit of all members.

Our Products

At Sowers Multipurpose Cooperative Society, we offer a range of financial products designed to empower our members, encourage financial discipline, and promote sustainable prosperity.

Regular Savings

Our regular savings plan starts with a minimum of ₦5,000 per month — paid once or in multiple deposits. The goal is to help members develop a consistent savings habit and prepare for future opportunities.

Targeted Savings

Ideal for salary earners or individuals with irregular income who wish to save toward specific expenses such as rent, school fees, child delivery, or major purchases. Plan ahead and meet your goals with discipline.

Sowers Regular Loan

After six months of consistent savings, members can access loans up to twice their savings balance. Our interest rates are significantly lower than those offered by commercial or microfinance banks.

Household Appliances Loan

This facility helps members acquire essential household appliances and pay conveniently over time — easing financial pressure while improving comfort and lifestyle.

Automobile Loan

Similar to the household appliances loan, this product enables members to acquire vehicles with flexible repayment options, promoting ease of movement and productivity.
